Heide Kaminski lives in Michigan with her second husband Tom,
her daughters Sarah (14), Angela (12) and her son Tommy (almost
three going on about 10). She also has a step daughter, Nikki
(17).
Heide has been in the preschool field
since 1986, including running a preschool on her own for 7
years. Four of her teaching years were spent teaching mentally
handicapped young adults and middle school children. Her
specialities include AD/HD (she has it herself and her son has
it) and gifted children (one of her daughters is two years ahead
in school).
Besides working in a preschool/daycare and being the Sunday
school director at her non-denominational church (since 1992),
she loves writing about a variety of subjects and is
developing a preschool column at her site on Themestream.
