1/10/01 Question 55
Dear Preschool Teacher,
I am a nutrition student and I am teaching a preschool class. I have to teach them about the nutritional value of milk.  I want to do some kind of song or little game to play with them.  Do you have any suggestions?
Got milk on my mind

Dear Got milk on my mind,

I know a program called Chef Combo has a section on dairy.  You could also sing  "10 Little Dairy Cows"  to "Ten Little Indians" tune.  And end it with "giving us milk every day."   You could do a milk testing and have small cups of milk with chocolate and white.  Have them taste, then ask what is different?  Nutritionally, nothing!  Preschoolers love to try taste
tests.  Have fun!

Dear Got milk on my mind,

You might find some ideas at websites.  This is one site that came up when I typed "milk" into yahoo.
http://www.gotmilk.com
It lists some games and activities for starters.  Have fun!
