1/18/01 Question 57
Dear Preschool Teacher,
I have an absolutely brilliant and adorable new child in my preschool class.  However, he is ADD or so appears to be. His parents have not had him tested yet and he is four-years-old.  How can I encourage them to have him tested. I've lost at least 5 pounds this week keeping him occupied.
ADD Testing help

Dear ADD Testing help,

Should he be starting Kindergarten next year or the year after?  You might want to begin the inquiries by asking your local school district what they would recommend -- it would give you a basis to approach the parents.  Some districts do kindergarten assessments, so that might also be a help to you
and the parents.
