Question 93
Dear Preschool
Teacher,
I am a
student teacher and I am trying to come up with a dramatic play
activity having to do with outer space. Do you have any ideas
that are relatively simple and don't require a lot of props or
preparation, since I don't have access to a lot of materials.
Thank you!
Dramatic Space
Dear
Dramatic Space,
When
I did my unit on space I found a cardboard box and painted it to look
like a space ship. I painted it gray and added some stars to the
outside. On the inside I drew some knobs and switches.

Dear
Dramatic Space,
I
took a box and painted the inside black and then purchase glow stars.
Our program also brought space costumes and fold away space
suits. The kids could view the stars and play Astronaut.

Dear
Dramatic Space,
You could find a cardboard box and
decorate it to look like a spaceship. Save plastic one gallon milk jugs and cut off the handle
part to make a space helmet. (Smooth the edges or tape them.)
Make an instrument panel from card board or poster board and place it
in front of several chairs to simulate a cockpit (or whatever they
call it).
